Friday 9/8: Today we worked on our Atmosphere Model which we will continue on Monday. Students were given 'Layers of the Atmosphere' to read and annotate over the weekend. Annotations are due Monday in class.
Monday 9/11: Today we continued working on our atmosphere model from Friday. Once completed, we started our 'Layers of the Earth's Atmosphere Foldable'. The instructions are here. The rubric is here.
Tuesday 9/12: Today we continued working on our foldable from yesterday. This is due tomorrow about 15 minutes into class, so some students will need to work on the foldable for homework.
Wednesday 9/13: Today we logged into our google classroom and clicked on 'Characteristics of the Earth's Atmosphere' and answered the questions found here.
Thursday 9/14: Students finished up in the Google Classroom today. Once they were done, they could take a Quizziz quiz that was available to them via the Google Classroom.
Friday 9/15: Today, we reviewed the answers to the Google Classroom activity that the students have been working on, and then we did a lab called, "The Air We Breathe". Students are to answer all the questions on that lab prior to class on Monday so that we can review before the quiz.
Monday 9/18: Review for today's quiz. After the quiz, the students took notes on air quality which the links can be found in the Google Classroom or here.
Tuesday 9/19: Today we finished up what we started yesterday in our Google Classroom.
Wednesday 9/20: Today we started working in our groups for our Google Slide presentation on Air Quality Investigation and Presentation. The readings can be found here.
Thursday 9/21: No School/Teacher Workday
Friday 9/22: Today we took our bi-weekly warm up quiz (students can use their paper to take the quiz) which is found here. Or, it can be accessed by logging into our Google Classroom (there is a link in the classroom for the quiz). Then the students continued to work on their Google Slide Show for Monday's presentations.
Monday 9/25: Today we finished our google slide presentations and then presented to the class. Students took notes while the other groups presented.
Tuesday 9/26: The other half of the groups presented today while the rest of the class took notes on what was being presented. We then handed back some papers, went over the information in the papers, and organized our science binders and the "Table of Contents". Students were given "Energy Transfer in the Atmosphere" reading which is to be read and highlighted and/or annotated for homework.
Wednesday 9/27: Today students created their Word Art based on the reading from last night's homework.
Thursday 9/28: Today, we had stations about the water cycle. Here is the sheet the students took notes on and here is the slide show presentation.
Friday 9/29: Today we went over the notes that were taken yesterday, and went more into depth about relative humidity and dew point and how to read both using a psychrometer.
Monday 10/2: Today we read and annotated our clouds reading. Then the students started on their clouds foldable. Instructions are here. Students will have to get the two papers they need from me in class.
Tuesday 10/3: Today we continued with our cloud foldable in class.
Wednesday 10/4: Today we worked individually on our paper slide video rough draft pictures for our slides (attached here).
Thursday 10/5: Today we got into groups to start our paper slide video presentations (due Tuesday). Rubric and instructions are attached here.

Wednesday 10/11: Today we had a quiz on water in the atmosphere and then we read and annotated (and highlighted) an article about wind (found here).
Thursday 10/12: Today, we used our reading from yesterday and took notes on the wind analysis packet.
Friday 10/13: We went over the notes using the following power point on winds. We then started working on our paper plate global winds project (minor grade). Directions are located here.
Monday 10/16: Today we continued with our paper plate global winds project. It is due at the beginning of class tomorrow.
Tuesday 10/17: Today, while there was a sub in class the students did a great job working on a webquest in the google classroom. The quest was about air masses and the paper can be found here.
Wednesday 10/18: Today we answered questions using a nearpod presentation about fronts. The paper on the fronts can be found here and the nearpod is in the google classroom.
Thursday 10/19: Today we went over all the work we've been doing the past week. We then took notes on Weather maps. The worksheet to take the notes on is found here, and the slide show to take the notes is found here part 1, here part 2, here part 3.
Friday 10/20: Today we reviewed weather maps and global winds with a winds and weather map activity.
Monday 10/23: Today we went over the answers to the winds and weather map and practiced drawing on our big weather maps that were hanging up in the classroom. Afterward, we were given the unit review (study guide) to start working on. It is due Monday, October 30th, and our unit test over weather will be Wednesday, November 1.
Tuesday 10/24 to Friday 10/27: Today we started our weather stations. Here are all the weather stations and their packets that go with them along with the weather station master fill in form.
