Monday 12/11: Today we took our TOC test from our cells unit. We then read about DNA (located here), and then we took notes about DNA (located here), and then started on our snap chat stories about DNA. We also started a new bi-weekly warm up (located here).
Tuesday 12/12: Today we continued to work on our snap chat stories in class.
Wednesday 12/13: Today was our last day to work on our snap chat story in class. Students can continue to work on their stories at home and during CAT. The snap chat stories about DNA are due at the beginning of class on Friday (this is a major grade).
Thursday 12/14: Today we read pages 80-85C in our books and filled out notes for How Living Things Grow (attached here).
Friday 12/15: Today we watched The Amoeba Sisters: Mitosis/Cell Division (link here). Took notes about mitosis (notes are here). (Power point for the notes is here). Then we did a card sort activity on mitosis which is located here.
Monday 12/18: Today we read in our books about meiosis and filled out the paper (found here). We also did a comparison of meiosis and mitosis (which is here). Book pages you'll need to answer the previously mentioned pages are found here.
Tuesday 12/19: Today we talked about DNA, chromosomes and genes. We read about them and then we did a word art note page (rubric and reading are attached).
Wednesday 12/20: Today we took a quiz on meiosis/mitosis. Then the students took their weekly warm up quiz in the Google Classroom. It is still in the Google Classroom for anyone that was absent and/or still needs to take the quiz. Students then worked on finishing up their Word Art Notes activity that is due by the end of the day tomorrow.
