Mrs. McGee is the Math and Science teacher for the Cardinals Team. This is her second year at Apex Middle School and she is so excited to be teaching so close to home, in Apex, The Peak of Good Living! Previously she taught math for a year at Knightdale High School of Collaborative Design, and before that, she taught math and science for seven years at Trinity Christian School, in Sharpsburg, Georgia (about 5 minutes away from where they film The Walking Dead). Mrs. McGee received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education from Western Governor's University. When she’s not in the classroom teaching and learning, she enjoys spending time with her husband (Sean) and four children (Tristan attends Wake Tech, Josie attends UNCG and runs for their XC and track team, Cameron attends Apex Friendship High, and Cate attends Baucom). She also enjoys being outdoors, and loves running! Let’s go, Team Cardinals! [email protected]
Mrs. Rehm is the Language Arts and Social Studies teacher for the Cardinals! It's her first year back at Apex Middle since her student teaching days here while attending NC State (go Pack!). Since then, she's been teaching 7th grade LA/SS at Manteo Middle on the Outer Banks where she grew up, then at Moore Square Middle in Raleigh, and finally at East Cary Year Round Middle in Cary. Although she enjoyed the year-round schedule, she's glad to get back to traditional. Hooray for summer break! Mrs. Rehm spends most of the time outside the classroom chasing her very speedy toddler, Stella, all over the place. Her husband is also a teacher, so weekends are spent playing with Stella and relaxing (and occasionally helping each other grade stuff). She is passionate about both subjects she teaches, and in particular, Mrs. Rehm has a certain fondness for the Cold War era (SS), and dystopian novels and the Harry Potter series (LA). She also never stops listening to audiobooks and Podcasts, and will take any and all suggestions for what to read next. [email protected]
