Monday 8/28: Today we discussed classroom expectations and went over lab safety.
Tuesday 8/29: Today we worked on setting up our science binder, worked in groups trouble shooting a marble ramp activity, and watched a video about the difference between good teamwork and not so good teamwork.
Wednesday 8/30: Today we talked about what it looks like to be scientist. We watched the following video, had a class discussion, then watched another short video clip with Adam Savage from Myth Busters, and answered some questions while we watched.
Thursday 8/31: Today, we went over the worksheet from yesterday's Adam Savage TED Talk. We then watched a couple of videos (video 1 and video 2) to help with our Scientific Process Pre-lab questions (cut and pasted to this sheet). We also used our class set of science books to help as well.
Friday 9/1: Today, we went over the pre-lab answers from yesterday. We then worked independently on two different problem solving stations (station 1 and station 2). Almost everyone had to take the cholera station (station 2) home to finish for homework.
Tuesday 9/5: Today we reviewed station 1 and station 2 from last week. We then worked on a Narrative Station which is to be completed for homework, but most finished in class.
Wednesday 9/6: Today we reviewed the narrative station from yesterday, and then we worked on "Don't Taste the Rainbow" lab (first minor grade).
Thursday 9/7: Today we peer graded our lab from yesterday, and then we FINALLY were able to get to the fingerprint lab.
