Monday 2/12: Today we started our new unit on the human body. We logged into our Google Classroom and completed the following worksheet found here by using one of the three options in the classroom under "Levels of Organization". Most everything for this unit is going to be accessed through the Google Classroom.
Tuesday 2/13: Today we learned all about our mission for the next few weeks. All information is in our Google Classroom.
Wednesday 2/14: Today we researched our countries (links are in Google Classroom), and filled out information packet given to our group. We also then had to do a heart rate check and fill out the following form (found here). We also finished the flags for our country.
Thursday 2/15: Today we learned about the cardiovascular and circulatory system. The day 3 transmission can be found in the Google Classroom. There are worksheets that go with today's activity that I have available in my classroom. After watching the transmission, there is a heart labeling activity, again, the worksheets are in my classroom and the links are in the google classroom.
Friday 2/16: Today we learned about the flow of blood through the heart, lungs, and body. All activities are in the Google Classroom.
Monday 2/19: Today we talked about heart attacks and cardiovascular disease. We watched a video about what happens when someone has a heart attack and discussed lifestyle choices versus genetic influences. Students took notes which can be found in the Google Classroom.
Tuesday 2/20: Today we did case histories on 5 different (made up) people to see if they are pre-disposed for Coronary Heart Disease based on genetic and environmental. We then played a quizlet live game. The quizlet is in the google classroom so everyone can study for tomorrow's cardio quiz.
Wednesday 2/21: Today we took our quiz on the circulatory system, and then did a really fun (eye roll) lab with balloons to see what our lung capacity is.
Thursday 2/22: Today we took notes on the respiratory system that are in the Google Classroom, and then we did a diagram of the lungs. All links are in the classroom.
Friday 2/23: Today we took some more notes on the respiratory system that was in a station rotation at each country's table.

Monday 3/26: We went through guided notes as a class on Organ Donation, and then we watched a video about the mascot at UNC who was hit by a car and had his organs donated, and about the people who received the organs (it's all in the Google Classroom).
Tuesday 3/27: Students started their "Persuade Me in 5 Slides". They are working alone or in pairs to persuade a teenager who is getting their driver's license to become an organ donor in 5 slides.
Wednesday 3/28: Students continued to work on "Persuade Me in 5". They were due at the end of class today.
Thursday 3/29: No work to make up today. We did an outdoor science activity!
